SWANSONG WORSHIP IS
-
Hi, I’m Chris Swanson. I’ve spent over two decades in ministry in various capacities, but primarily in worship.
I began ministry work in my youth volunteering throughout central Florida, which led to me helping plant Streams Church in Colorado in 2012. I started as a volunteer, and by January 2013, I was hired as the Director of Worship. While serving at Streams, I built relationships with other churches in the community and volunteered as needs arose. Sadly, after nearly eight years of ministry, Streams made the difficult decision to dissolve in July of 2020 in the midst of the pandemic. As doors literally closed at Streams, God opened another, and I joined the staff at Ridgeline Community Church as Worship Director.
As life stabilized after COVID, my wife and I felt called to rest and wait in Georgia. We knew God was preparing our family for something new, but we needed time and space to discern what was next. That season of seeking the Lord led us to Gainesville, FL, where I began volunteering at a local church and homeschooling our twin boys. We now call Greenhouse Church home, but God has continued opening doors for me to serve his greater Church near and far.
Through this journey, I realized that God is calling me to do more than just lead worship; I am called to come alongside others, to serve those who serve.
Ministry is full of high highs and low lows. Oswald Chambers captures this reality beautifully:
“It is a wonderful thing to be on the mountain with God, but a person only gets there so that he may later go down and lift up the demon-possessed people in the valley (Mark 9:2-29).”
In my own journey, I have experienced joy and contentment as the good fruit of years spent leading worship, building teams, and mentoring leaders. But I’ve also learned that perseverance and hope are the good fruit of suffering as I have navigated challenging storms during seasons of change—walking with friends and volunteers through the loss of family members, the departure of leaders, and even the closure of churches.
Through all of these experiences, God has been refining my understanding that He has called me to minister to ministers—to take the wisdom gleaned from what He has brought me through and serve those who serve.

Swansong Worship began as a clever play on words: using “swan song” as a musical term that also contains my last name (Swanson). But as I sought vision from God for this ministry, I realized how fitting the name truly is.
A “swan song” is traditionally defined as a final performance of profound beauty. Jesus utters the greatest swan song in history from the cross: “It is finished.”
And in Christ the swan song is redefined—the finality is removed.
We see resurrection.
We see empowerment.
We see revelation.
Our Savior—the new Adam—defines a new archetype, a new reality: our swan song is no longer the end, it’s just the beginning.
But is our swan song just a song? Not at all.
Our worship is not merely music—it is our very life (Romans 12:1), and real life begins when we yield it completely to Him (Matthew 16:25). So, our worship is all-encompassing. Whether it’s our life, our ministry, or our church, it will never be all that it can be until it is given as a freewill offering to the Lord for him to transform.
This offering is Swansong Worship.

Swansong Worship exists to help the body of Christ operate in healthy, functional, and sustainable ministry.
This work centers on the most important part of the body of Christ: people.
Whether I am leading worship, upgrading AVL systems, or assessing church health, my central focus is always people and the quality of their relationship with the Lord and one another. No matter the project, the goal is to answer:
· Why are we making these decisions?
· What impact do these decisions have on God’s Church?
· How do we maintain the progress achieved by these decisions?
As we seek to answer these questions, we are striving to ensure congregants, ministry leadership, and the Lord are in healthy communion and fellowship.
These emphases ensure that you are successful AND refreshed (Proverbs 11:25), equipped to operate from a place of full supply.
Check out the Services page to see how we can accomplish this goal together.

Ministry is messy.
Ministry can feel overwhelming.
Ministry can feel isolating.
God cleans us up.
God carries our burdens.
God is with us until the end of the age.
But sometimes it’s hard to connect the solution to the problem.
If your ministry is in need of a worship leader, technical guidance, or counsel for healthy church growth and sustainability, I’d love to partner with you and lift your arms unto victory (Exodus 11:17-18).
